Empty Promises

Don't hand me empty promises,
That you never will fulfill.
Don't tell me that you'll try so hard,
Unless you really will.

Don't hand me empty promises,
My heart is too naive.
For if you say you love me,
I will foolishly believe.

Don't hand me empty promises,
They will not do me good.
If you say your love is true,
Then show me like you should.

Don't hand me empty promises,
For one day I will see
You haven't got intentions
To fulfill your words to me.

With an empty promise,
My heart can not hold on.
Before you see the damage,
My love... I will be gone.

Chaos and Confusion

One day my heart was broken, so I picked it up again.
To trudge on through this weary world,
Full of pride and sin.

I did not care who I would hurt, nor who would love me so.
My heart was glued together but,
The pieces just dont flow.

It was no longer perfect, it was really quite a mess.
A rough, misshapen masterpiece,
Humpty Dumptied at its best.

My heart once held a plethera,
Of hope, love and devotion.
Lately, though it seems thats gone.
Now theres just chaos and confusion.

And what are all these hormones?
They make the whole thing worse.
Love and sex, beauty and bliss...
I think its all curse.

For never can you have them all,
You're left with cold desires.
A broken heart, a patched up mess
That constantly misfires.
