One day my heart was broken, so I picked it up again.
To trudge on through this weary world,
Full of pride and sin.
I did not care who I would hurt, nor who would love me so.
My heart was glued together but,
The pieces just dont flow.
It was no longer perfect, it was really quite a mess.
A rough, misshapen masterpiece,
Humpty Dumptied at its best.
My heart once held a plethera,
Of hope, love and devotion.
Lately, though it seems thats gone.
Now theres just chaos and confusion.
And what are all these hormones?
They make the whole thing worse.
Love and sex, beauty and bliss...
I think its all curse.
For never can you have them all,
You're left with cold desires.
A broken heart, a patched up mess
That constantly misfires.
